Units of Sound is an online literacy intervention programme specifically designed for learners with low literacy levels or those who struggle with phonological (sound) processing. Its multi-sensory, structured approach covers reading, spelling, memory, and dictation activities, making it ideal for improving fundamental literacy skills. Units of sound can also be sold separately.

Reading: Focused on decoding for students with sound processing difficulties, helping them improve reading fluency and comprehension.
Spelling and Memory: Structured practice to enhance recall, accuracy, and writing skills.
Multisensory Learning: This helps reinforce phonological awareness and makes learning more memorable.
Writing Skills: Develops sentence structure, punctuation, and proofreading abilities within a controlled framework.

This programme helps students monitor their progress with reading fluency materials and learner recordings, ensuring steady improvement.

WordQ is a powerful assistive technology tool that supports students in reading, writing, and communication with ease and independence.

Text-to-Speech: Improves reading comprehension and effective proofreading.

Speech Recognition: “Talk-to-type” feature (PC only) for hands-free writing.
ThoughtQ: Simplifies research by offering secure and easy topic exploration.
Available on both desktop (PC and Mac) and as a web app for Chromebooks, WordQ is ideal for helping learners of all ages write with greater fluency and confidence. Its Pro version is designed for older students with age-appropriate vocabulary. It can be used on tablets, and doesn’t need internet connection to work.
